Steve Bailey

Steve Bailey
Chief Executive

Steve started Landmarks (UK) Ltd in 2001 after spending 20 years working in the construction industry with N G Bailey within the Mechanical and Electrical sector.

With extensive experience in project management, design, maintenance, key account management, business development and new business start- up, Steve’s broad business and the technical expertise he can offer add value to any project Landmarks undertakes.

Particular interests are sustainability and sustainable building solutions, ranging from power and heat solutions to sustainable construction methods. Landmarks can now say with Steve’s involvement that they are leaders in the industry in this sector.

When he manages to get away from the office, Steve undertakes Non-Executive business roles, management of a rural estate – and helping out where possible with charity fundraising. Sporting interests include country sports, cricket and rugby.

 


Mark Bowling

Managing Director

Mark joined Landmarks (UK) Ltd on the 1st Feb 2011; together with Steve Bailey runs the three offices at Ilkley, Harrogate and Lincoln. Mark started his career in Private practice in 1976 working his way up to a number of senior positions over the past ten years, and has this year celebrated 40 years in the industry! Mark says that ‘The future at Landmarks is looking positive, we are diversifying into different market sectors in the industry to offer the Landmarks experience to a wider audience’.

Outside of work he is interested in dining out with family, travelling to the Middle East and is a season ticket holder at Manchester United. Mark also enjoys arranging his golf tournament at the Mere Golf and Spa in Cheshire every May. This is aptly named the ‘Merlot Trophy’ for his love of red wine!

Mark has overall responsibility for the day to day running of the business.


Jon Rowlands

Jon Rowlands
Director - Landmarks ICF

Jon joined the team in January 2012 after being headhunted for his expertise and practical experience. He wanted to become part of a dynamic and innovative team who were leaders in the industry.

Jon is somewhat of a pioneer/old hand in the ICF world, having more than 35 years experience in the construction industry, including more than 20 years experience in the ICF sector, and building his first ICF house way back in 1993/94. He is our ICF specialist, based at our Lincolnshire office but travelling around the East Midlands giving CPD presentations to architects interested in the ICF world.

His brief is to develop “Sustainable Construction Solutions” in both “New Build” and “Refurbishment” projects.

Outside of the office Jon enjoys pottering around his smallholding, country walks with his wife and dog, and playing golf. He is passionate about Real Ales and vintage farm machinery.


Andrew Bowling

Andrew Bowling
Purchasing & Safety Manager / CDM Co-ordinator

Andrew has eleven years’ experience in the Construction Industry, progressing to Projects Manager with specific responsibility for Construction and Refurbishment, based at the Head Office in Ilkley.

Andrew’s other responsibilities include Safety Management and CDM.

Outside of work he is a keen footballer, plays a round or two of golf and has a busy social life.


John Collett

John Collett
Construction Manager

John has worked in the construction industry for his whole career, and has more than 40 years experience to show for it. He started his working life as a joiner and moved rapidly up the ladder to become a site manager, in charge of various projects across the Yorkshire region.

John joined Landmarks in December 2012 as a site joiner and soon became site supervisor, he then progressed to his current position as Construction Manager and is now overseeing all operatives within the company and all site projects. He is based in the Ilkley office but spends much of his time on the various sites, keeping in touch with both clients and employees and ensuring the smooth running of all projects. John is hard working and approachable, and is an excellent representative of the company’s attitudes and ethics.

In his spare time John enjoys walking in the countryside with his wife and children, eating out and going to the cinema. He is a bit of a film buff, happy to watch any genre – from comedy to action to horror films.
