This was a project for the diocese of Ripon and Leeds for the New Vicarage at Kirkby Malzeard, Near Ripon, North Yorkshire.
The project started in February 2012 and finished December 2012 – This was a large structurally installed panelled (SIPS) house featuring 4 bedrooms for the church vicar of Kirby.
Landmarks UK Ltd prepared the existing site and inserted the foundations and drainage, erected the offsite manufactured SIPs panelling on site, stone cladding, M&E, Roofers works, external works including driveway and soakaway, all internal fit out and decoration.
The house featured many energy saving and sustainable features including the 142mm SIP walls and Roof giving the build an overall U-Value of 0.11 W/m²K. The house also included an LPG fired central heating system, 3no solar panels situated on the roof, an MVHR system and a rainwater harvesting system. The house also featured high performance windows to strengthen the performance of the dwelling.

25mm of Kingspan TW55 was placed on the inside of all the external TEK walls giving an overall ‘u’ value of 0.15 W/m²K and 70mm of Kingspan Thermapitch TP10 was placed to the underside of all the roof panels giving a ‘u’ value of 0.11 W/m²K – this is going to be a very warm vicarage!
